Great
pre-opening ceremony of the 64th “Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica” of
Venice.
The President
of Biennale Davide Croff, the Director of the “Mostra” Marco
Müller and the Ambassador of this edition opening Ambra Angiolini,
who, on this occasion was wearing the Maison Jaeger-Le Coultre’s
last creation – the wonderful Joallerie 101 manchette, white
gold, diamonds and onyx - received the guests who arrived to
Palazzo Querini on tuesday, August 28, to celebrate the event.
The
Honorable Luana Zanella, assessor to the Cultural Production of Venice,
Raffaella Guerra, Jaeger – Le Coultre’s
Marketing And Communication Director and Emma Luxardo, Country
Manager for Antiquorum Italy, also intervened to greet the guests.
The
highlight of the evening was an auction held in the prestigious
site of the Biennale di Venezia, PALAZZO QUERINI DUBOIS, organized
by the famous Antiquorum Auctioneer and the Maison Jaeger-Le Coultre.
A
unique series of Reverso has been sold :
6 pieces each individually engraved with the signature by Sergio
Castellitto, Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Josh Hartnett,
Valentino Rossi and Olivier Stone.
About
200 guests attended the event, representants of the political,
cultural and show fields, including the members of the Giuria Venezia
64 : the directors Zhang Yimou, Catherine Breillat,
Jane Campion, Emanuele Crialese, Alejandro González Iñárritu,
Ferzan Ozpetek, Paul Verhoeven and some members of the Giurie
del Premio Orizzonti e del Premio Venezia Opera Prima Luigi De
Laurentiis of this 64th. Mostra; the President
of the Cineteca Nazionale Francesco Alberoni e Manuel de Sica, son
of the famous Vittorio, were also present.
Top lot was the watch personalized
by Catherine Deneueve.
The other pieces raised exceptional prices
too, thanks to the involvent of many collectors connected via internet
all around the world.
The proceeds of the auction will be entirely
distributed to the Funds for Cinema, a project promoted by La Fondazione
La Biennale di Venezia and finalized to the restoration of old movies
that risk to be lost forever.
