Antiquorum & the Morrison Hotel Gallery Partner on the Premiere Auction of Fine Art Music Photography

New York, October 10, 2013 -- Fans of music photography poured into Antiquorum's auction room on Tuesday night, October 8, for "The Art of Music" sale, the premiere auction of fine art music photography from the Morrison Hotel Gallery at Antiquorum.  The auction of over 300 images of legendary music icons totaled $564,968 with 86% sold by lot.  Amongst the collection presented were rare and intimate photographs of The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, U2 and The Beatles captured by some of the world's leading music photographers represented by the Morrison Hotel Gallery. In addition to the room, telephone and commission bidders, enthusiastic bidding came via internet from all corners of the globe including Australia, China, Sweden as well as the United States.

"We are delighted to have partnered with The Morrison Hotel Gallery on this innovative auction of fine art music photography, " said Evan Zimmermann, President & CEO, Antiquorum Auctioneers. " It was fantastic to see the extraordinary level of excitement from music and photography fans from all over the world for the outstanding collection of rare photographs offered in today's sale."

"We were extremely pleased with the auction as it gave us an opportunity to reach a whole new range of buyers around the world. It was a chance to expose the world to the best in fine art music photography because we represent the best there is.
