Antiquorum to Support Jewelers for Children “Celebrate New York” Event
February 18, 2013, New York – Antiquorum, the world’s premier watch auctioneers of modern and vintage timepieces, is delighted to support the Jewelers for Children (JFC) “Celebrate New York” event at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on February 25th in New York City.
The event will include both a live and silent auction with jewelry, fashion and lifestyle items. In addition to donating a package of goods and services to the silent auction, Michael Friedman, Watch Expert, Auctioneer and Horological Director of Antiquorum’s New York office will be conducting the live auction at the event, which will include items from John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Honora, Scott Kay, Ashley & Emily and Michael Dawkins. The silent auction will include items from Antiquorum, Andy Castillo Art, RSP Media, Mia Sorelli Jewelery Design, International Gemological Institute and the Jeweler’s Resource Bureau.
Proceeds from the auctions will benefit several charities: St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Elizabeth Glaser pediatric AIDS Foundation, Make-A-Wish America and CASA.
“The primary reason for hosting an event in New York City is to say ‘thank you’ to our generous sponsors for their generosity throughout the years,” explains David Rocha, JFC’s Executive Director. “The added element of silent and live auctions will give attendees an opportunity to take home some incredible items while also benefiting our charity partners.”
“We are thrilled to support the Jewelers for Children event in New York City,” said Evan Zimmermann, President & CEO, Antiquorum. “It is a pleasure to work with our friends in the industry to help children in need and continue our dedication to support worthy causes around the globe.”
