Antiquorum to Support WellChild's Helping Hands Fundraising Dinner

Feb. 25, 2013

Antiquorum to Support ...

February 25, 2013, Geneva - Antiquorum, the world's premier watch auctioneers of modern and vintage timepieces, is delighted to support the Helping Hands Dinner in aid of WellChild, at the Savoy Hotel on March 7th in London.

Antiquorum will donate a package of goods and services to a silent auction and Julien Schaerer, Managing Director of Antiquorum Geneva, will be conducting a live auction at the exclusive black-tie event. Proceeds from the event and auctions benefit WellChild, a national charity dedicated to providing the increasing number of seriously ill children and young people in the United Kingdom with the best possible quality of care regardless of their situation, location or diagnosis. In addition, the charity has invested more than £20 million in ground-breaking children's health research projects.

“We would like to thank Antiquorum Auctioneers for the brilliant help and support they have given in making WellChild's Helping Hands Dinner such a fantastic event. Thanks to them, we will be able to raise significant funds for our work to help seriously ill children and their families across the whole of the UK,” said Colin Dyer, WellChild Chief Executive.

The charity, which has Prince Harry as its Patron, funds a unique team of WellChild Children's Nurses who play an essential role for families across the UK. These nurses help to ensure that children can be cared for at home wherever possible - cutting through the confusion experienced by parents with a child in long-term hospital care and making sure that the complicated needs of these young people are met.

In addition, WellChild funds a number of other projects designed to provide support to families caring for children and young people with long-term or complex care needs. This includes the charity's unique Helping Hands scheme which enlists the support of volunteers from companies and organizations of all kinds from across the country to tackle individual home development projects - helping seriously ill children, young people and their families in truly practical ways.

“We are thrilled to support WellChild and the amazing services they provide to children and families,” said Evan Zimmermann, President & CEO, Antiquorum. “We are looking forward to the Helping Hands event and to helping the organization raise as much money as possible.”
